If you say so. I know it's not part of the official syntax but I consider it being part of CSS. Actually your PHP example isn't even close to my example. At least my CSS portion had some syntax in it that belonged to the language. blahblahblah had nothign to do with it.

The content: property is valid in CSS.height: - CSSexpression() - IE-CSS (not part of the CSS or ECMA specifications)window.height or whatever - JavaScript

I would say the the expression() value is not CSS or JavaScript, but part of IE's special "CSS".
