GermanPrince
Haven't you ever noticed there is NO FREE hosting for ASP.NET Programmers? They will do PHP, but not ASP.NET. Its a conspiracy.
Synook
That is mainly because PHP (and the software it runs on) is free, while Windows Server licenses cost a whole lot of money.

jlhaslip
Pick a Host that has apache/mysql/php already installed. They usually do that for you.And XAMPP or WAMP are one-click installers for your local machine. Google it.

Synook
Unless you install a webserver as well, you need to run them from the command line. E.g. C:\>php file.php Just download a WAMP stack!

skaterdav85
is ASP.NET hosting more expensive than php? I know hosting my php/mysql sites are about 50-$80 for a whole year, but I've never hosted an ASP.NET / SQL Server site. I've hosted a Coldfusion site before, and it was like $20 a month, so I said screw CF and learned PHP. Any thoughts?
nigel.collier@virgin.net
For free ASP.NET hosting try ASPSpider.com
Synook
Theoretically ASP hosting will be more expensive, because the host has to cover the software licensing cost.
skaterdav85
For free ASP.NET hosting try ASPSpider.comhaha no offense, but that looked super shady. I dont mind paying for hosting, but if it's like ColdFusion where its relatively expensive to host a site, I think I'll just stick to PHP once my class on ASP.NET is over...
