skaterdav85
I am totally new to the e-commerce stuff, but I'm looking for something that allows me to easily post new products and remove them, and send out a unique confirmation to the buyer and to the site owner/webmaster. Anyone know of an easy and cheap solution? I did some research and Magento looks good. Anyone have any thoughts on it? or recommendations of another CMS/platform? vchris
I developed an ecommerce website built on magento before and I find there's a big learning curve. It's most likely more than you need. Another ecommerce platform would be wordpress, nice and simple.
skaterdav85
Ya, Magento seems like a big learning curve. It seems like a Drupal but for ecommerce. How do you integrate ecommerce within Wordpress? I've used Wordpress quite a bit. Is it a plugin? Something I can buy or is it free?
vchris
I haven't really researched but I've seen some themes available. Some upthemes.com, there's probably a lot more.

vchris
You don't really have to anymore. You can let paypal do the work for you. I believe they make 3% off every transaction or something like that, I'm not sure. You should look into how transactions with paypal work, it's less work than you think. Most of the themes you can download already have this stuff set up.
skaterdav85
oh ok. i didn't realize certain wordpress themes have it set up as an option. i'll look into that. thanks
