My question is: What if I wanted to return a result set withall of the artists that start with the letter 'B'?Would I use the "starts-with" function?If so, then what would be the proper format?THANKS!!!

I've answered my own question.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?><!-- Edited by XMLSpy® --><xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"><xsl:template match="/">  <html>  <body>  <h2>My CD Collection</h2>	<table border="1">	  <tr bgcolor="#9acd32">		<th>Title</th>		<th>Artist</th>	  </tr>	  <xsl:for-each select="catalog/cd"><xsl:if test="starts-with(artist,'B')">	  <tr>		<td><xsl:value-of select="title"/></td>		<td><xsl:value-of select="artist"/></td>	  </tr></xsl:if>	  </xsl:for-each>	</table>  </body>  </html></xsl:template></xsl:stylesheet>

Thanks for reading.

You don't need the nested xsl: if at all, you can simply add a predicate expression to your select expression e.g.
<xsl:for-each select="catalog/cd[starts-with(artist, 'B')]">  <tr>...</tr></xsl:for-each>

Hi Martin;For some reason, that didn't work for me the first time I tried it,but it seems to be working now. I've no idea as to what it wasthat I was doing wrong.THANKS for the response!!!
