eduard
What did the w3schools css tutorial say about changing the link colour? surely you checked that before posting. No, because I know it's in the css! But where? (I tried to change style3)

eduard
I change the question! Not 'how' (that I know!), but where do I change the color of my link 'portfolio' (there are 3 style sheets)?
thescientist
you could search the files using a find feature of your text editor, or use your developer tools in your browser to find the element in the DOM and find the CSS (file and line number) that effects it. dsonesuk
There is no styling set for anchor links, so it will revert to the default set by the browser, changing styling .style3 won't make any difference because you are not setting it the the anchor itself, just the span, so the default for anchor will kick in. Soooo it does not matter where you set it, as long as you set your own default styling as set out by the tutorial, which you choose to ignore again. dsonesuk
???????????????????????????? NONE, NONE, NONE IN FIREFOX GO TO OPTIONS -> CONTENT -> COLOURS see unvisited notice it is the same colour as your links, THIS IS THE DEFAULT STYLING IT WILL USE IF YOU DO NOT SET IT YOURSELF BY TARGETTING ANCHOR ( 'A' ) AS IN a:link { color: friggin angry red;} AS DESCRIBED BY THE TUTORIAL WHERE IT USED PSEUDO of :link, : hover, :visited, :active. SOOO IF IT NOT SET IN ANY FRIGGIN CSS STYLE SHEET, YOU BEING WEB DEVELOPER HAHA, DESIGNER HAHA CAN FRIGGIN CHOOSE. Because YOU don't bother to learn ANYTHING through tutorials, or by experimenting YOURSELF, YOU ASK THE WRONG QUESTIONS, YOU JUST WANT EVERYTHING DONE FOR YOU! SO YOU! CAN COPY AND PASTE, AND THAT IS NOT LEARNING.

dsonesuk
Learning?, but experimenting: very wrong!!! What do you think I've done the past 4 hours! Eating out of my nose? Well the only conclusion is YES! , you had followed the examples as set out by the the turorials, you would have found the solution there and then, but no! post topic, instead get someone to do the work for you. I think it a absolute cheek to get someone to design and create your website and claim it as your own, when you have not got a single clue, how to create one yourself, and rely on us to do it for you, oh its hard, can you do it for me! oh thanks, copy and paste, my god what a wonderful website i created bu my own hands. HA!
Coyote
While I largely agree with the sentiments of the others who've replied, above, I'm feeling uncharacteristically generous atm. I believe this is what you're after. In your code (above), put a space then a letter "a" (for "anchor") after the ".style3" declaration like thus: .style3 a{color: #FFFFFF;font-size: large;}

HA! But I designed the page e.g the colors are MY idea! A very important thing of a website and I've written before that I'm not good in web design. And copy and paste? Well I copied and paste the original site. But I've changed many things which can't be copy and paste!

dsonesuk
This is NOT something for a specialist, IT IS VERY VERY VERY SIMPLE BASIC STYLING of an anchor element, which you are apparently incapable of understanding. IF you can't get a grasp of even this, how do expect to be considered to be capable of producing a large website project, what is your description on hourlie site? build html page in 1 year as soon as i get someone to give me code at w3schools, taken in account most are at different time zone to me, price £10,000.000.reply WHAT! FOR ONE PAGE, is this some sort of a joke.

dsonesuk
NO, the joke is most definitely you claim to be a web designer/developer, when you don't know the basics after over what must be 3 -4 years (feels longer) 6000 posts, (not forgetting those from previous account, which became so embarrassing that you creating another, plus other html etc forum accounts on other websites we discovered), you have wasted our time going over the same simple basic coding time and time again, its time to smell the coffee, and wake up to the fact web design/development or whatever you consider yourself to be, it just not for you. I've a question for you! Did you live the past 4 years in a foreign country, another continent, another language, other customs, etc. under miserable conditions (e. g. often no internet!) where they have taken much money, stolen many things and therefore I've a lot of stress and scarcely haven't any money left?ANSWER: NO!!!! P. s. thanks for your 'nice' comments, website isn't finished yet!!! Edited February 2, 2013 by eduardlid
dsonesuk
I have questions for you, IF it is so bad blah, blah, blah WHY! are you still there? Also IT does not matter that is so bad, blah blah, blah the fact remains you cannot grasp the very basics of putting a html website together let alone a dynamic site, without continuously relying on the forum of w3schools to help out! so you can copy and paste, therefore it is a waste of time for you to look into becoming a web designer/developer or whatever.
