davej Posted September 24, 2013 Share Posted September 24, 2013 Yes, the whole purpose of this is to eliminate unnecessary resolution. There is no point having a huge 4000 x 3000 pixel image online when it is going to be displayed as 800 x 600. Your webpage is probably only 900 pixels wide.
