how I can handle responsive designs in IE8 or less

I am designing a website which is responsive with css3 media queries. As we know that css3 is not supported in ie8 or less. So what should be the strategy for me to handle the website in ie8 or less. Thanks

Try to reproduce css3 design in css2 for these browsers, or just show it as non css3, for example round corners as square, anything lower than ie7 should give waning that you no longer support IE6 and they should use latest IE version or better still don't use IE at all, but one of the other better browsers instead.
