Hello,

 

Is anyone familiar with ModSecurity?

 

I was wondering if anyone knows if or if it's possible for ModSecurity to hinder or prevent a website from being properly indexed by search engines.

 

I have the default rules that come with ModSecurity along with additional rules by OWASP. Sometimes I notice in the logs modsecurity giving 403's to authentic bots like google bot(s) for example because of things like 'missing header' etc.

That definitely sounds like it would hinder SEO data collection.
