No, it wouldn't make it run faster. It would make the file smaller. You should write code that makes sense and is easy to read and understand, that should be the priority. If you want to compress it for the web then you can find a tool to minify your code to remove things that are not necessary for the browser to execute the code, like whitespace and comments. A packer would replace identifier names with single letters to make it smaller still, but I don't typically use those. I just minify the code and then use server-side compression to cause a 1MB Javascript file to only require maybe 140KB to download and start running.
