replace for getElementsByClassName, and cross broswer for offsetX

hey, i use the offsetX propeti on the mouse event object

and i want to know in which broswers its supported?

 

also, is there anyway to get the elements with some classname withos getElementsByClassName method?

they dosent say which broswers support, they only say that the imlementetion is inconsistently, whats the meaning of that?

According to the MDN page, only Firefox supports it (that information is given by Mozilla though, so it might be biased). Inconsistent means that different browsers might all have that property available, but they calculate the value differently.

be sure its biased, its work for me in IE and Chrome,

so tell me, is thereis no other way to check it for sure?

 

IE , Chrome, Opera .... dont have Documetation that shows this stuff?

I don't know if Webkit maintains a Javascript reference of what they support similar to what Mozilla maintains with the MDN. If you find things like that, let us know. Microsoft has MSDN:https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms534305(v=vs.85).aspx
