newseed
Assuming you have FTP, you should be able to access /service_files/ folder to see what image files are listed. Just make sure your images have been uploaded. Edited July 27, 2014 by newseed
Sveta
All pictures are on the server I can download them from the server. I dont understnd why but pictures that are made by a aprofessional photographer are seen on the site. But personal pictures made by my camera are not seen on the site. Maybe some information which these pictures (from my cam) contain prevents them to be shown on the site. I have never experienced anything like this Edited July 27, 2014 by Sveta
dsonesuk
Make sure the filename and extension matches EXACTLY, you also have space in source (src=" service_files/nomera8.jpg" should be src="service_files/nomera8.jpg"), but it really should be src="/service_files/nomera8.jpg" as the '/' will represent root of 'http://feodosia-dom.com.ua/' <img class="apartment" src="/service_files/nomera8.JPG"> (which works), is not treated the same as <img class="apartment" src="/service_files/nomera8.jpg"> on a server as it is case sensitive.
niche
dsonesuk's post describes the first thing I check when I have that kind of problem. That's when I sometimes learn that I forgot to upload the image!
krrahman
I think, it is your image path problem. When we use image from local machine, we use "images/image1" something like that - try to re-size your image, rename images, check your div if there is any wrong coding or - finally avoid your div and create a new div with different name. Sveta
THE PROBLEM IS IN PHOTOS!!! I CHEKED I uploaded 1 photo on facebook and downloaded back/ Then I uploaded it on my site again and it is shown now. It is image called "nomera7". What a crazy camera I have! I have to do the same with the rest of the photos(
dsonesuk
What probably happened is you uploaded to facebook as nomera7.jpg OR nomera7.JPG, where it may have been converted to lowercase, so the end result is filename of 'nomera7.jpg', when you upload to server because the source ref of img tag filemame is identical as in <img src=" service_files/nomera7.jpg" class="apartment"> the image now shows. IF you change the file extension to uppercase <img src=" service_files/nomera7.JPG" class="apartment"> the original image will now show. as already said it treats images with same filename and extension, that use different uppercase or lowercase characters as different images.
Sveta
Sacred Member, thank you. I see now what you mean, I haven`t noticed that the JPG are in capital letters because on my computer I see the small letters. Sveta
I changed the extension of the files with Total Commander, but added extra dots to the names of the files(
dsonesuk
I did wonder when you just showed 'nomera7', if you had 'hide known extensions' enabled, so you weren't seeing the extension at all. windows7, go to folder, click organize => folder and search options => view => 'hide extensions for known file types' and uncheck
davej
These images? http://feodosia-dom.com.ua/service_files/apartment11.jpg http://feodosia-dom.com.ua/service_files/apartment124.jpg
dsonesuk
Not a good idea to add dots, it will probably attempt to identify the extension what follows the dot is.
davej
Dots like this? src="../service_files/apartment124.jpg"
Sveta
No, dots at the end of the file like apartment124..jpg I have already deleted the extra dots. In Total Commander I should only write "jpg" to change the extension but I wrote ".jpg" so it added one more extra dot to all the files which I chose for changing the extension. Now everything is great. Though I spent a lot time trying to find a mistake. I found great deal of good programs useful for future. And also this forum with very helpful members. Thank you all and thank you Sacred Member. Hope I use the word "extension" in the right sense, extension is .txt .dox .svg, right?
