Newbie Here - Need Help

I have not worked with CSS much at all. I am really just learning. I am used to frontpage and tables. I'm trying to create a web page in Dreamweaver CS5 and I've done pretty well up to this point. I've got the logo on the page, a banner, I'm good with paragraphs and all that. But I've run into a problem. I want to set up some clickable pictures with titles. Picture a table with 4 columns and 4 rows. There is a picture in the center of each cell with text under it to describe the picture. Now how do I create that without a table?
