Mark
As a new kid on the block, can any one tell me if this include tag works in webmatix 3. I have copied and pasted as part of one of the W3school tutorials, but, whilst everything else works as expected, the footer is not being called? Many thanks Mark...
justsomeguy
I haven't used webmatrix, but that looks fine for ASP code.
Mark
Thanks justsomeguy.... The tutorial makes clear as you build your site, which file type to use for each section, accept the footer for some reason. Would the footer normally be a CSS or an ASP file type? Mark... justsomeguy
Include files can use any extension, it will still consider it like an ASP file. Practically though, if you name it something like .inc or .txt, then someone could navigate directly to that file on the server and it will show the ASP code inside the file, which may be a problem. For that reason I prefer to still use .asp for all files that have ASP code in them, regardless of whether or not they are include files.
