can anyone tell me what code i use to stop my text overspilling a container ie a section with a width and a height

are you looking for javascript or css? Because there is the overflow property that you can do with css

css, sorry i put it in the wrong one.
i was looking for a formula to restrict text to the size of the area and not scroll, in other words if it dont fit dont show it,i see that overflow:hidden is proberbly what i am looking for.
