abdelelbouhy Posted July 28, 2010 Share Posted July 28, 2010 hello guysi just installed apache but when i try to edit httpd.conf file i get this message C:\Program files\apache Software Foundation\apache2.2\conf\httpd.conf fileand i did change the permission to full control form the root folder down to the httpd.conf file and i still get the same messageplease help Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
boen_robot Posted July 28, 2010 Share Posted July 28, 2010 Windows Vista or 7 I guess?You need to either start Notepad as administrator and open httpd.conf from there, or (as I do) copy httpd.conf to another location, edit it, and paste it back. The one edit I do to avoid this inconvinience again is to include a separate configuration file I keep in a folder where I don't need admin access.
