Welcome
I'm very happy with w3schools.
my proposal
- tutorials should be attached with the time period required for the end of the lesson.
- An arrangement of tutorials in accordance with the priority being studied.
thank you

The W3Schools website isn't a series of planned classes. It's just a website where people can go look through the tutorials of their choice and learn at the pace that they decide.
It's not exactly intended to be used as teaching material.

Yea, its just a basic series of tutorials, which are particulary helpful because they cover the basics. If you really wanna get indepth get a guide like How To....For Dummies which include everything. W3 Schools is just for the average person, who wants to make their own site, and wanna start from scratch.

I would say that the "Dummies" books are also generally for average people, I don't see many professional programmers with those books on their desks. They definately don't include everything, compare the Javascript Dummies book with the Javascript Bible 6th Ed., the bible has 1200 pages and the Dummies book has 384. The same with ASP, the ASP books I can find around the office are all around 1000 pages, the Dummies book is about 380. The Dummies books might be good to get an intial idea about what something is, but beyond that it helps to get a book that really goes into depth about other aspects of the language that might not be so commonly used.

Well, not always a good idea to read Dummies. I've seen C++ for Dummies, that book is
terrible, and I'm not kidding. The whole book is teaching you C, not C++ (and C-style code in C++ is
bad). Just thought it was worth mentioning in case someone does think about starting by reading one. Get a recommendation of a better starter book

.
But, back to the OP. I agree with the others, it's more a reference point than anything else for me - and I'm not sure the structure is entirely conducive to learning a language, rather it's a useful reference while you are (and after, you never remember everything).

w3school for me isn't tutorials, it is more of like an online reference and a guide that helped me to always get on track.
and for the Dummies (book), I totally agree with you guys, well the book it's more of just ideas, like an introduction to, a concept for starters. Not totally good thing to rely on, especially for learning.

Yeh, I use it as a reference too. Even at work if i'm trying to do something quickly, the first place I turn to is W3Schools.

Its a useful site no doubt, especially for examples. Though I'd admit I am a bit lazy considered I ask some questions on the board when I could perhaps read some of it up...
