Thanks for the feedback, unfortunately the information at the site you mention was more overview than detail. I am hoping to to get more feedback as looking at various forums there are many people asking the same question as myself, there must be a fairly simple answer as most modern web sites have forms that exhibit the fucntionality I outlined.Thanks and thanks to anyone else who may be able to help...........David

HelloI am still quite new to ASP. I have set-up a simple form on my website. using Formmail, my objective is to automatically send respondents an email message using CDOSYS. I would appreciate it if anyone could show example code of how to do this, it will require taking the email address from the form and using this to send the email. ISPs obviously need to prevent spamming so I need a solution which is unlikey to break typical ISP's spamming rules.Thanks in advanceDavid
