1. Don't believe everything that Dreamweaver or any wyswyg programs tell you.Validate your html code here http://www.w3schools...eb_validate.asp It would appear that in your heading you have three tags with different data so the browser is getting confused.. IE does that alot.. In the <head></head> you need to remove two of these tags. <meta content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" http-equiv="Content-Type">...<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1252" />... <meta charset="UTF-8" /> hope this helps a little..dink I just validated your HTML and it shows 84 errors, most of which are easy to fix.The validation page will show you where the errors are.
2. I use firefox and your <h1 id="fw-title"><a id="fw-titlelink" href="http://exileentertainments.webs.com/">EXILE ENTERTAINMENTS</a></h1> is hiding the navigation bar.I am not to keen on your background choice but the colors work. What are the buttons on the top for? View and InstallTo me it looks like a cookie cutter template without much originality.Sorry, but that's my opinion.good luck!dink
3. Thanks for sharing that info... I have been writing css for some time and did not know that...Learn something new every day and life is fun.dink
4. p {margin: 10px 0; background: #CCC;} The separation between the outer border edges of these paragraphs will be ten pixels, Why is this? Because it's what authors would tend to expect. If you declare top and bottom margins of 1em for paragraphs, odds are that you want one em of space between successive paragraphs. In your code .content { [margin: 15px 10px 15px; padding: 10px; background: #ffffff; -moz-box-shadow: 5px 5px 10px #cccccc; -webkit-box-shadow: 5px 5px 10px #cccccc; box-shadow: 5px 5px 10px #cccccc; The separation between the outer border edges of these divs will be 15 pixels, Why is this? Because it's what authors would tend to expect. If you declare top and bottom margins of 1em for paragraphs, odds are that you want one em of space between successive paragraphs. It is only doing what the code is telling it to do.hope this helps.dink
5. A couple of things I noticed that are different1. .TFF is uppercase instead of lower case.2. It says to Include a font file somewhere on your server, and refer to it with CSS: src: url('Sansation_Light.ttf')If the font file is located at a different domain, use a full URL instead: src: url('http://www.w3schools.com/css3/Sansation_Light.ttf').since it is at your domain you should use the first example. I don't know if because the font is copyrighted if that makes a difference. It will be interesting to see the responses. best of luckdink

Interactive Websites

The one thing I did in the beginning was to view the source code of sites I likes. If I did not understand the code I would search the internet until I found something I could understand. That was mannnnnnnnnnnnnnny years ago and I am not telling you to search the web. But do look at the source code. You can do a lot with html and css to get started and by viewing the source code you may find solutions to the things you want and then you can ask for help to fine tune.Do a search on How to make an interactive website, or tips for making an interactive website.Hope that helps..dink

I really hate templates that you purchase or get for free. The code is often times confusing and does not validate. Also some templates use substandard techniques to achieve the goal, such as tables within tables within tables. You would be much better off coding your own template.Stay away from flash.Just my thoughts.
8. This is what I always use to align my graphic with the text and set vertical and horizontal spacing as needed.<img src="images/xx.gif" alt="graphic" width="202" height="173" hspace="10" vspace="5" align="right" />

Critiques Wanted!

Very nice work. The code is clean and takes into consideration many browser problems often ignored.I want to see this once it is complete..Good Job!!dink
10. Hi Rain Lover,Just curious, why would you want to use frames? http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_frame.asp dink
11. Just curious why can't you use just a plain animated gif on a page and then have it redirect?dink
12. Hi DoubleUdoubleu3,I am not sure I understand what you mean by contextual ads are displayed a clickable kinda image rolls up if you hover over the contextual ad. contextual ad definition:An advertisement that is targeted to the user based on words entered into a search engine or a profile of the user's purchasing or Web surfing habits Are you asking about a text link that changes to an image when you hover over it?Are you asking about scrolling text? Are you asking about an image that displays text when you hover over it?Are you asking about a link based on a word or words entered into a search box?Dink
13. Just to be clear... you want a page with an animated gif to appear when a link from the homepage is clicked. From the animated gif page you want the browser to redirect the user to a different page..So the link would be animated.htm and the redirect would be page1.htmIs that what you are saying?dink
14. in my opinion PHP should be the first language you learn as most servers allow php while asp is not as widely accepted.
15. I an not sure what CV stands for.. If you are talking about an online resume, keep it simple, clean, professional, easy to navigate. It is tempting to put a lot of visual candy but the employer will be more interested in what you have done than how pretty it looks.Just an opinion..dink
