  1. I have a use case where my content editable div accepts only string inside it but it shows the html elements as they are supposed to be shown on website but as per the configurations mentioned in package. They have mentioned the attributes but not click events. Now, if I have string as `some text here <button onclick=someFunction()>button</button>`. Here someFunction is directly being called without triggering button because I think it is in string. How can I call `someFunction()` only when button is clicked.
  2. Hi there, I’m a newbie in coding HTML, CSS (very poor in JS) and I would like to make a responsive navbar like that: https://www.w3schools.com/howto/howto_js_topnav_responsive.asp (here the code: https://www.w3schools.com/howto/tryit.asp?filename=tryhow_js_topnav). My question is, when the navbar is in “responsive mode” and when clicking the menu button (right side in the example), is it possible to produce a "fade in/out" effects in order to display the menu items? Thank you in advance for your time and for any help you can provide. Sergio

  4. Hello, I'm trying to make a spinner that spins randomly on click (see example below). I've been messing around with this for hours, but I just cannot make this work like I want it to. This is my code, but it is unfinished and buggy: var myArray = ['360', '330', '300', '270', '240', '210', '180', '150', '120', '90', '60', '30']; var Spinner1 = sym.$('Spinner1'); // spinner 1 = wheel.jpg Spinner1.click(function(){ // randomize the degree of spin. var mySpin = myArray[Math.floor(Math.random() * myArray.length)]; sym.getSymbol('Spinner1').play(); Spinner1.css({ '-webkit-transform': 'rotate(' + mySpin + 'deg)', '-moz-transform': 'rotate(' + mySpin + 'deg)', '-ms-transform': 'rotate(' + mySpin + 'deg)', '-o-transform': 'rotate(' + mySpin + 'deg)', 'transform': 'rotate(' + mySpin + 'deg)', }); Spinner1.css('-webkit-transition','all 500ms cubic-bezier(0.420, 0.000, 1.000, 1.000)'); // calling alert pop-up on number if (mySpin > 330 && mySpin < 360) { alert("Winner is number 1!"); } }); What I am actually trying to achieve is the following: The spinner only spins clockwise (not clockwise and counter-clockwise) The spinner always spins 360 degrees + the random number/degrees defined in myArray (added on top of 360deg) The spinner randomly picks a number/degrees from myArray - but does not repeat that number again until all numbers have been spinned (resets after all spins) The spinner calls an alert pop-up when the pointer has landed on a number (between 1-12) If anyone can help me out or perhaps make my code work properly, I would be very happy. I really want to know what I am doing wrong so I can learn from it in the future. Help is sincerely appreciated! Regards, Entity_101 TestSpinner.zip
  5. Hi! I am making a little game for iOS using apache's Cordova.I use Zepto.js as a light css3 jQuery replacement for animations etc. Players have to create letters as Wim Crouwel did in his New Alphabet, they have to do it in a short amount of time, thus far the project is going fine for the limited skills i have but now i am encountering a problem and i dont know where it could come from. What happens is that when i validate if a letter hase been constructed correctly and it is in fact correct it adds 2 "levels" instead of just 1, what i discovered is that the script actually runs twice. It even reacts tot the amounts of clicks i made on the page, lets say i click 4 "clickable" element's on the page it ads 4 levels. This is what i get in the console: 2 clicks = 2 levels up?validating...correct! go from level 0 to..1validating...correct! go from level 0 to..2 here is a live demo:http://bram-de-leeuw...welGame/(you'll probably have to resize your browser to make it work, the first thing you'll see is a iPhone5 version that isn't styled correctly. When you'll make your browser smaller it will show a iPhone 4 version.) This is the validation code: // Validate Letter A$("#verder").click(function () {//if (Level = 0){ // LETTER = A // CORRECT console.log("validating..."); if ( // LETTER A $(".CenterBottom").hasClass("black") === true && $(".CenterRight").hasClass("black") === true && // NOT LETTER A $(".CenterLeft").hasClass("black") === false && $(".CenterTop").hasClass("black") === false && // ETC.. ){ // IF ITS CORRECT console.log("correct! go from level 0 to..") Level++; $("#alert-fact").animate("Alert", {duration:2000, easing: 'ease'}); $(".CenterBottom").animate("Correct", {duration:2000, easing: 'ease'}); $(".CenterRight").animate("Correct", {duration:2000, easing: 'ease'}); console.log(Level); // SOMETHING IS MISSING } else if ( $(".CenterBottom").hasClass("black") === true && $(".CenterRight").hasClass("black") === false || $(".CenterRight").hasClass("black") === true && $(".CenterBottom").hasClass("black") === false ) { $("#alert-missing").animate("Alert", {duration:2000, easing: 'ease'}); if ($(".CenterBottom").hasClass("black") === true) { $(".CenterBottom").animate("Correct", {duration:2000, easing: 'ease'}); }; if ($(".CenterRight").hasClass("black") === true) { $(".CenterRight").animate("Correct", {duration:2000, easing: 'ease'}); }; // WRONG } else { $("#alert-wrong").animate("Alert", {duration:2000, easing: 'ease'}); };//};//if (Level = 1){ // LETTER = B//};});
  6. Hello all I would like to know how to register a click event in JQuery mobile. I had this fully working DOM based game which has a start button to start game play. All I did for it not work is add references to JQuery mobile CSS and Javascript, and the following data-role attributes: page,header,content, and footer. After that the start button register but all of the which suppose to run on page load works.
  7. Hi, i have a button1 that when pressed changes to button2. When button2 is pressed it should change back to button1. You could say that one should be able to "toogle" between the buttons when clicking.The problem is: When button2 is pressed nothing happens, until you hover in and out of the td.It works aswell if i put an echo above remove line... so wierd...Any ideas?jfiddle link test2.html
  8. Hi folksI'm trying to initiate a click event (and subsequent image fade in) when a user clicks on a thumbnail. That in itself isn't such a problem. The problem lies in the fact that the thumbnails are contained in an array and are displayed with an append within an each loop (see code below). I've gotten halfway there, the code below does initiate a fade in when a thumbnail is clicked - however, it fades in all the images as opposed to just the one relating to the thumbnail that is clicked on. I know this is because by the time the #test append happened all the images have loaded so it just displays all of them. The question is, how can I get it to just display the full image related to the thumbnail that's been clicked on? I'm pretty new to this so apologies if this seems a bit pedestrian. Thanks in advanceStef For reference purposes:array[0] refers to id of imagearray[6] is the thumbnail urlarray[7] is the full image urlarray[8] & array[9] are x and y coordinates of the thumbnail on the page function display (array) { $.each(array, function(i){ $('#container').append( '<div id="'+array[i][0]+'" style="position: absolute; left:'+array[i][8]+'px; top: '+array[i][9]+'px;"><img src=images/'+array[i][6]+' id=nav width=85 height=85></div>' ); $('#test').append( '<div id="'+array[i][0]+'" style="width: 398px;"><img src=images/'+array[i][7]+' id=nav width=398>' ); $("#"+array[i]).click(function () { $("#test").fadeIn('slow', function () {// animation complete}); }); });} Full page attached upload.php
  9. When you click a certain tag, an option will be selected. For example: you click on a Div tag with id="object3", this action will automatically select the Option tag "Water". Anyone know a Javascript that can do this (without using the value attribute)? <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"><html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><head><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /><title>Click tag will select option</title></head> <body> <form action=""> <fieldset> <ul style="list-style:none;"> <li> <select id="select_items" name="SelectItems"> <option id="item-fire" value="xjakgd">Fire</option> <option id="item-earth" value="yuygas">Earth</option> <option id="item-water" value="piowqe">Water</option> <option id="item-wind" value="mnbvzi">Wind</option> </select> </li> </ul> </fieldset> </form> <div id="click-object-1" style="background-color:#F00;width:30px;height:30px;margin:4px;cursor:pointer;"></div><div id="click-object-2" style="background-color:#0F0;width:30px;height:30px;margin:4px;cursor:pointer;"></div><div id="click-object-3" style="background-color:#00F;width:30px;height:30px;margin:4px;cursor:pointer;"></div><div id="click-object-4" style="background-color:#FF0;width:30px;height:30px;margin:4px;cursor:pointer;"></div> </body></html>
