Guest jdbooker
hi, I'm trying to use a <select> dropbox to alter the information in a table/form.I can get it to modify the text fields using predefined variables within the main page, and also to pull images of the same names from different subdirectories based on the dropbox value...but is there a way to do a "memo" field using a text file located in these subdirectories for it's data??eg.drop box selection options: data1, data2[website]\data1\img1.gif[website]\data1\text.txt[website]\data2\img1.gif[website]\data2\text.txtform needs to show just the relevant img1.gif and contents of text.txt. Jack McKalling
JavaScript cannot access the server :)The only way to access them is to convert them into .js (javascript files) and add a reference to it at your document, or use PHP instead (like fopen(), fwrite() and fclose())
aspnetguy
...or ASP.NET, or ASP, or Cold Fusion....whatever you find easier.ASP doesn't require you to install any other software if you are running Window 98 or newer. You just need to setup IIS.PHP, ASP.Net, and Cold Fusion requires you to download and install the compiler.
