i'm using a dotted border instead of an underline for my links' hover state. this works fine except where i've got links with additional letterspacing. the border extends beyond the word to the edge of the space, which looks rather ugly...examplethe CSSso my question: is there an efficient way of clipping the right edge of that border?

the letter-spacing you have defined will apply to every letter - so the extra space is from .5 space being added to the area it takes up.The only way around that would be to class the last letter of each link to not have the letter-spaceing.
