question:I have a css book published 2001-2002. I am wanting to learn css to use with javascript and ajax...so i'm wondering if i'm better off buying a new css book, or if css hasnt changed much should i just use the older book?thanks

I don't think CSS has changed much scince 2002 but... why buy a book on the first place? w3schools has a full CSS reference. Well, ok... almost full. But atleast it has everything that the W3C standarts requre.

I fail to see the need to buy a book on just about anything. If you have google (which you do) then you can find anything about everything.The only reason I can see for buying a book is for very specific topics. But usually between the tons of tutorial sites and forums like this one you can find out anything.It makes me sick to realise this after spending thousands of dollars on books through college.
