Knock yourself out

The writing needs some adjustment. I can't really understand what is this all about without reading the whole first paragraph. You decide how. The sooner the user attention is focused on the "tagline" of this agency (or whatever is the legal term for it), the better. There is a problem when the site is at any resolution other than 1024x768. If you're going to use relative units (which is great), also use repeating images, or other methods of stretching the background.See for yourself:1280x1024he3.th.png

Does that mean i need to make my resolution at that range and then rebuild the website.
That, or more likely, adjust your images so that they are in parts. Instead of having a single image for the top, split it into one image for the left part, and one for the right part, and align each one with the proper corner.But... I see you have already done that. Great work. And you've also emphasized the company's purpose. Great.Now... moving on. All pages except the index one and the Current Homes for Sale page one are way too stretched. That is, they exceed the boundaries set by the menu. Here's a screenshot:exceedscz6.th.png

Hello.First off. I'm new here and I'm a not a very experienced web designer, so you might want to take what I say with a grain of salt.My first impression when looking at the index page is that it's hard to read the main text, as it's a bit crammed inside the blue, orange and green lines. A little more air (spacing) would make it more readable. I find that my eyes are following the colored 'arches' and lines more that the actual text. Same goes with the left side of the text, I feel it's too close to the left black border. A few more pixels of padding would make it less claustrophobic. Also the orange and green 'arches' don't line up with the straight lines, the green 'arch' even has a white line shining through above it, I think the image just needs to be moved one pixel up.Other than those small issues and what boen_robot says about some of the pages being too stretched, I think the site looks very nice and professional. I really like the colors and the "cute" graphics on the houses,Just my 2c.

The general layout is nice. The blue, orange, and green lines you have on your index page are choppy as is much of the text. Maybe vector images for the decorative lines near the text might work better, and be less choppy. And I would work on the choosing better fonts for screen. ( I did not look at what you are using now.) I can't suggest fonts..typography is not might strong suit. The forms you are using are not aligned very well. Style your tables some to align the labels and the input boxes up a little better. Also all CSS goes in the head section except for inline styles. And there can only be one bocy tag. I found this in the body of your buy_a_home page:

<td width="100%" height="67" colspan="2"> <style>label{text-align: left;}.formfield, .formerror{width: auto;text-align: left;}.formerror{border: 1px solid red;background-color : #FFCCCC;}span{white-space: nowrap;}.errorlist{border: 1px solid red;background-color : #FFCCCC;width: auto;}.errortext{padding: 0px;font: bold smaller sans-serif;}</style><body>

The images at the bottom say "Place your mouse over the picture for more information." I do not see anything. That's not what the alt attribute is for. I would use JavaScript to show a hidden description for those images.Good Luck,Scott

This might just be in IE6 but the shaking hands image is over some of the text.
Same here with Firefox, and some of the text is outside right border. Just one letter actually, but still...The site looks much cleaner and to the point now, Ten times easier to read.

Last night I stumbled up on a site which I think you might find interesting/useful . It has many tips when it comes to the actual design and design process of websites. Check it out: Web design from scratch

I know about the text on top of the image, I dontr know how to fix it!. The image is the background to that table, and the text is indented to get away from the edges and so as the first line. Unfortunatly I dont know of a way to indent the second line? Any ideas?

I would have solved it in a different way by using a 'float'. Not sure how I would make the bar and border around the text and image (handshake) with graphics, but I'm sure it's possible. Look at this float tutorial to see what I mean by float. (The tutorial floats the image to the right, but you can make it left if you want.)

If you want images to show text by holding the mouse over you can try the title attribute:<img src="something" alt="Text to be displayed in a text-only browser" title="This is the description of my image" />

  • 2 weeks later...

I'd suggest that the 3 images under "The Zuriel Promotions" be converted to links. The blue one actually says "CLICK HERE". Plus, it's what people kind of expect and I really want to click it :) . Clickable images are bigger and in my opinion more fulfilling to click.I noticed that the house pictures on the right side are already clickable. Perhaps you didn't make the other 3 clickable because an unsightly border shows up? I'm sure there's a way to handle this, I just don't know how to (anymore).

I don't know if someone already said this, but you should really change your server. It took like 5 minutes to load everything thereAnd as boen_robot said, I don't really know what the site is about after reading the first paragraph. The link colors, I hate them. They look just as same as the one that is if you don't style them up with new colors :)

I think image links for the top navigation would be nice... also, the pictures look very childish, don't know what impression they give about your company. Try making it Sleek and Professional :)
