Jesdisciple
"When you get bored, click something. If that doesn't help, then turn off your computer immediately." ~ Douglas CrockfordWhere does the domain name come from, and why didn't you use sitedevs.com? According to the Chinese, yin is the lack of anything so "GameYin" seems to mean a poor game. But your site has nothing to do with games...The color-scheme itself is nice and professional-looking, but it seems kind of... aged. To me, olive is the color of early 20th-century (1900s) antiques. Yet it otherwise looks modern, so it's conflicting for me. But maybe that's just me.The registration page has overflow issues that break the style for me near the bottom of the page.If you're going to allow registration, you ought to have a ToS agreement as well, and a privacy policy would be good too. Synook
The body container's background jars with the, umm, page background.I don't like the font. Maybe it's "just me", but it is hard to read IMO.By the way, you don't actually need to close all tags, or surround attributes with quotation marks, in HTML. For example, this as the entire document validates: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd"><HTML> <HEAD<TITLE>Test</><BODY> <P> <IMG SRC=test.jpg ALT=validation> This document validates... somehow... Strange, but that is SGML for you :)The site is a bit boring... more images or colour? I agree with JD - the colour scheme is a bit old-fashioned.Did you steal that phrase in the first dot point of the "Best standards" section from my signature?Other than that, not bad, and I look forward to seeing what content you put in there
SpOrTsDuDe.Reese
No I actually didn't but I see how you would think that lol. Just noticed. I got the idea from DevShed forums. Jesdisciple
I like it, but I'm biased for serif, especially Times New Roman... Sans-serif is supposed to be easier to read on a screen, while print is the domain of serif.Okay, that makes a lot more sense with the name. But I'm still curious where the old one came from... pizzaguy
It looks nice but it over flows and causes the rounded box to break (Win Vista, Firefox 3, 1440x900)(i would post an image but its not broken in the webpage snapshot program's picture...) Ingolme
It looks nice but it over flows and causes the rounded box to break (Win Vista, Firefox 3, 1440x900)(i would post an image but its not broken in the webpage snapshot program's picture...)You don't need special software to get a snapshot, you can use the "Print Screen" (or sometimes "Prnt Scrn") button on your keyboard and then go to any image editing program and press Control + V to paste it.I can't get my resolution as high as yours, even resizing the window, but I get a similar effect at a resolution of 800x600
Natechs
Looks nice overall, but you need to add to your site. There isn't many links that work in the menu. I like the design overall. 9/10.

SpOrTsDuDe.Reese
Hmm...I think I know how to fix that. I'm designing for 1024/768 resolution and showed up fine...thanks for pointing that out to me. Glad everyone likes it, for the most part. On lower resolutions does the top nav overflow to the second line? I need (on higher resolutions) to have the top nav stretch for all the way across.
