http://www.google.com/images?hl=en&sou...q=&gs_rfai=I am going to create a fun practice website and I like to start with the image of a circular saw blade in background. I am looking at about 700x700 pixels. It needs to be black or white behind the image (so I can blend the rest of the background with it). I want to experiment how image effects with different screen resolutions. Upon google, I see lot of small image sizes. Now, some of the image I like (yet some small) are follows:link#1link#2link#3There are more, but you get the idea. The question is there doesn't appear any copyright issues with some of the image link (the three links above). How can I make sure of that? Yes, they are too small to begin with, and even if I enlarge it, it becomes blur. I want to know if even google for image, is there copyrights issues with that? Some do not have watermark on it.Now, concerning this one...http://www.crestock.com/image/1191880-saw-blade.aspxThis one is copyright and sample has watermark on it. I did found some on google without watermark and could download those, but that would still be illegal. Right? I am not asking if I could still do this or anything like that, I just want to know if I am understanding this right.Another question, if you see or know of another image gallery where I could order the circular saw blade image, I would like to know about it. I found some and they were hundreds of dollars! I just need one image to practice with.Chuck

All images are owned by someone, and it is a copyright violation to use them without permission, even if they happen to appear in Google Images, or don't have watermarks, unless your actions could be considered fair use - for instance, if you never made the website available to the public, then that may be alright (this is not legal advice).

There are some images that are released for specific uses under certain licenses (such as ones in the creative commons family) that you may be able to use. A collection of such images, for example, can be found at http://commons.wikimedia.org/.
