Tables: Colouring headings and inserting bullet lists

Hi, I am writing an XML file as source content to generate both PDF and HTML user documentation. Specifically, I would like to colour the background fields to the headings of each table. Equally, I'd like to insert a bullet point list within each table column. I have tried numerous variations of elements to produce this structure, however, in each instance the XML file has failed to parse. I am self teaching myself to write XML but have failed to identify a solution to this issue. Could anyone please advise what I need to do? Thanks David (see 'example' image attached).
