How to make a download button for images? HELP!

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone.

I just created a WordPress website.

To let you know, it's a site about WallPapers.

I make a post for every image.

But I want to have a download button in the post, so the image can be downloaded by clicking on the button.

Can someone help me please?

The WordPress plugins doesn't work.

Thanks in advance!

I guess your options are to find a theme or plugin that would support that, or create your own. If you have a plugin that should work but doesn't then solving that problem is probably the way to go.

Making everything simple and easier is a task left for webmasters. Otherwise to copy, download and save image to memory card is the simplest thing to me. With my Opera Mini, to download image, when I click 1 the browser will turn a download options. Then I will just click download to save the picture, which is very simple.

have you tried this?

<a href="source-of-the-image" download> <input name="button" type="button" /></a>

It's not valid HTML to have a button as a child of the <a> element.

You can style <a> elements to look like buttons with CSS.
