QUESTIONS ABOUT BUILDING A WEBSITE.

Recommended Posts

Hey guys , I am 16 and I am a graphics designer and recently set my self a goal of creating a website to sell my graphics/artwork on.

I know the basics of HTML and CSS , not just the very basic , but more than that.

Correct me if I am wrong , but I am making the visual side of my website in Photoshop and once I'm done with that I will convert it into code.

I am planning on using Adobre Dreamweaver CS6 , as that is the program i have the most experience with.

I have been looking on the internet for some site that I like and I found this one http://gifmylive.arte.tv/fr

First of all I really like the theme of it , dark background with colourful shapes. Then the white text.

Also if you hover over the triangles you see that they sort of wobble in a sense, how is that done ?

The page would not load for me. But based on the "wobble" description you should look into CSS3 Animation and JavaScript.

That page you linked to relies heavily on Javascript. Lots of geometry, programming and mathematical formulas to make something work like that. HTML and CSS can't do that.

I think that the website you have in mind is a little bit to much when you know the basics of html and css. Offen there is jquery, javascript, php invilved. Maybe it is better to look for an free template and start changing that to something suitable. There are many usefull and nice templates.
