If you are expecting this work in this try it example save code it won't work! why do you think there's no 'edit' or 'run' menu options for php examples.

It is trying to decipher it as html, it takes the php code as opening '<'  in '<?php' and closing '>' within the if condition 'if ($_FILES["fileToUpload"]["size"] > 500000)'

This must be done on your on php mysql localhost or website server folder, which has a folder called 'uploads' which you must create.
