Guest awj
Hi,I'm new to SQL Server and although I've managed to build the database as I want it (to run hand-in-hand with ASP.NET) I've no idea how to get the database onto the target machine instead of my PC.I'm assuming that I'll need SQL Server on the target machine, but does this mean we have to pay for a license for every machine that we install this on?On the other hand, if I just install the database files (which ones?) how will the OS log in to the database and what exactly does all the SQL processing unless SQL Server is installed? Jerome
Hi,What exactly are you planning to do working from another computer? Just read, update and delete data from your database? Because if that is the case you don't need the install sql server... Try to explain with more detail your question.
