Back to my personal website :)As you probably (out of my signature), I have bought a webhotel and a domain-name now, and I have made a new design for my it.The new site is www.andersmoen.com, and I want some feedback on it. Well..if it's a free host, why don't you just make an account? Jlhaslip just said they don't spam their clients..Since it's a free host, you can just stop using it if you don't like it and if you just make a new email you won't use you could use that email for them in case of spam

Or you could go to opensourcecms.com, and check out the CMS and blogs they have there just to see if you like anything so you don't have to download something, configure it, try it and then delete it

I found out the error :)I got some help at Norsk Webforum (Norwegian), and they said I had to make .htaccess files in the subdomains where it says "RewriteEngine off" without quotes, and then it worked.

Actually, it doesn't exactly destroying, but when I use this code in the .htaccess file RewriteEngine onRewriteRule ^([A-Za-z0-9-]+)/?$ index.php?page=$1 [L] I can't go to a subdomain without getting 404 error...If I remove that code from the .htaccess, it works fine to get to the subdomain

Thanks for the answers, and now I finally figured it out. Got a new host, with my own domain (andersmoen.com), and then I used this code in the .htaccess file: RewriteEngine onRewriteRule ^([A-Za-z0-9-]+)/?$ index.php?page=$1 [L] And then, instead of linking to ?page=something I used /something/ and it worked perfect

As aspnetguy said, PHP is easier to learn...oh yeah, that's true! I tried ASP at Brinkster.com once, and I used about 2 months before I even understood how to connect to my database, and with PHP I learned it in like...1 week or something.So PHP is much better. As aspnetguy also said, PHP is free and ASP could easily cost money.If you need a free PHP host with MySQL, you could use Awardspace :)Good luck!

Hey!!I know the Googlebots and other bots don't like the url like this: ?page=something and especially not ?page=something&someElse=hahabut now I was thinking of redoing it from ?page=something to /something/ just like WordPress, but I don't know...at Diskusjon.no (Norwegian) they said .htaccess, but I don't know...they gave me links, but I didn't understand a thing, because ...let's say it this way: .htaccess isn't my strong site except for error documents hehe..So, can anyone help me doing this?Thanks!

My neighbour went to a school were they were doing HTML and Flash and stuff (long time ago), but I've borrowed her Mastering HTML 4 premium edition book, and I learned about all HTML there, but CSS, PHP og MySQL and more I've learned on the net (much faster too) so I'd say the net is fastest :)In books you need to go to a register and find the right letter, and then the word (and I don't know the alfabeth :| lol), so only that is 'making' the net better for me. I just need to go to Google and type in whatever I need help with, or ask here, og at some other forum where other peple helps

As a lot of you guys know, I've been working on a new design for my site, and then I got this design, but I've been working today on yet another one, and I came up with this one?, and I'm just wondering what you think of it. Better than the last one? I know it's a really simple design, but I like simple websites...For those of you who's tried my CMS, you'll notice I used the same background-image on my site and the CMS, because I just couldn't be bothered to make yet a new one like that...lolSo your opinions please, and be honest :)I don't want to hear "it's good" if you don't think it is. And as I said, I know it's simple because I like simple sites even though that site became maybe too easy?I also want to place the menu up on the side of the logo, but the site get's *asfidsgasfsfh* every time I try...if someone wanna do it for me, feel free (just view source and modify it) hehe.Edit:I know it seems a bit boring because it's like...nothing there, even tough the text fills the whole page (if you don't have a bigger screen thatn 800 in the height), but what more can I put on there?
