    Cant Connect to MySQL

    Dees posted a topic in SQL

    I am using a Mac running Mac OS X 10.4.8 and I have successfully installed MySQL on it but when I go to run it using the command sudo ./bin/mysqld_safe & all it does is display a random dumber and when I try the command ./bin/mysqlshow -u root -pI get an error message saying Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2)I do not know what this means can anyone help me. Thanks.
