Hi guys,Can someone recommend/suggest a decent mass email solution for a newsletter with approx. 2000-3000 members. We were first thinking of developing our own script to do that but I've been told a lot of web hosts actually restrict mass mailing from their servers. So either we go to a dedicated mail server for $xx/month or we get a software which will be a one-time charge. I was told of www.arialsoftware.com but --- $500 for just a bulk email program seemed a bit outrageous to me. Is there anything decent for under $100 ?? Or if there is even a whole new approach I should take, please advise.Thanks in advanceuzee

Yes the site is currently hosted and they are running it on Win 2003 server/IIS with ASPv1 and MSSQL and MySQL as dbs.They said they could move us to a linux based host also, if we needed.Based on the above, could you please advise/guide me what should be my next steps....Thanks muchuzee

Hi,Can someone please help me to create a mailing list. I'm trying to help a friend on his website. He wants to add a form where people can enter their email address and click "submit" to subscribe. He wants to collect those email addresses and then automatically email his newsletter to all those who have subscribed, say every two weeks. Now ofcourse there is a manual way to do it by collecting all email addresses and then manually creating an address list and emailing all of them but I'm sure there is a much smarter way of doing it. I'm comfortable in html coding and know a bit of java script but I dont want to just use someones code as I want to learn as well.If someone could please tell me how its coded/scripted or how many different methods are there to accomplish this, I will truly appreciate it.Many thanks in advanceuzee
