  1. actually i solved this, but I didn't have internet to tell the solution. I ended up just adding an if then in the clip. I would set a variable to tell if it's being dragged or not and had the if then include the ocsillation. That's how I ended up fixing that. But now I pose another problem (another topic: http://w3schools.invisionzone.com/index.php?showtopic=13758). I need to find a way to change the scene or frame on another movie clip, when I move the oscillating movie clip into a square, circle, or past a line. Could someone help me with this? I'll add it to another topic.
  2. I need to find a way to change the scene or frame on another movie clip, when I move the oscillating movie clip into a square, circle, or past a line. Could someone help me with this? I'll add it to another topic. But I basically want it to change the frame or scene so that I can add buttons to the scene or picture. My main problem is finding out where the this._x, this._y coord on the movie clip is, because I think it's different to the x,y on the properties of the clip. I also need some opinions on whether I should add another clip or use the actually frame of the flash movie, also how I can manipulate this. This will be included in a oscillating movie clip (topic link: http://w3schools.invisionzone.com/index.php?showtopic=13683) that will be the trigger I also don't want the movie clip to swing back into the area and then restart the action. Can I add a timer or frame rate countdown or something?
  3. I am trying to drag a movie clip somewhere and then have it dampen ocsillate. I can oscillate, and I can drag and drop, but I can't drop while I have the code allow oscillating. Here's what I put in my MC's action script: onClipEvent(load){ var ymov = 0; var ycen = 80; var xmov = 0; var xcen = 80; var k=2; // spring variable var m=1; // mass var b=.5; // experimental dampening constant var a_x=0; // acceleration var v_x=1; // velocity var xdiff=1; var a_y=0; // acceleration var v_y=1; // velocity var ydiff=1; //a+(b/m)*v+(k/m)*x (this is the physics function that I used)}on (press) { startDrag("");}on (release) { stopDrag();}onClipEvent(enterFrame){ xdiff = xcen-this._x; a_x = (-(b/m)*v_x - (k/m)*xdiff)/10 v_x += a_x; this._x -= v_x; ydiff = ycen-this._y; a_y = (-(b/m)*v_y - (k/m)*ydiff)/10 v_y += a_y; this._y -= v_y;}
  4. I found out the problem. My apache wasn't able to use port 80 because of Windows IIS. Someone set it up for me, but then I wanted apache instead, so forgot to uninstall it, so it was still using that port. So I uninstalled it and then the apache and .php's works now.
  5. I made sure that the module is being loaded with the follow config:#LoadModule ssl_module modules/mod_ssl.soLoadModule php5_module "c:/wamp/php/php5apache2_2.dll" I restarted the server, and it still doesn't work.
  6. This makes both firefox and internet explorer want to download the .php file instead of opening it in them. I would also like to know how to open them.
  7. I have installed apache, php, and mysql seperately before, but the php didn't work. Also Apache's log file grew to 18+ gb due to problems with my college's internet service. I'm fairly certain that I uninstalled them. I now installed WAMP thinking I'll give it one more shot. I still can't do any php. This is what I do:1) In my folder "C:\Inetpub\wwwroot" I create an html file with the following code: <html><head><title>Php Test</title></head><body>test 1 <br><?php $txt="Hello World";echo $txt;?>test 2 <br></body></html> This makes a website with:test 1test 2 I then include a bold into the string with this code: <html><head><title>Php Test</title></head><body>test 1 <br><?php $txt="<b>Hello World</b><br>";echo $txt;?>test 2 <br></body></html> I get this (the Hello World isn't even bold):test 1Hello World"; echo $txt; ?> test 2 I open this website in "http://localhost/test.htm". I've worked with php on someone else's server 3 years ago, but I didn't have it installed on my computer. Could someone help me fix this so I can continue programing?
