  1. You can use Regular Expressions in PSPad, with the /s modifier you can do multi-line search and replace.

    Flash Tutorial

The Flash tutorials (well... guides) inside the program itself are quite good. Open Flash and press F1 (help), you can find them there.
  4. I don't know... its too ordinary in my opinion. Like any other of those other hundreds of web development forums out there just like it (including this one )And I can't say the record of replies in other forums is that good.http://forums.xaos-ia.com/index.php?topic=632&page=1http://www.davidcastle.org/BB/review-http-...rum-vt4753.htmlYou have got some replies like the ones abovehttp://www.helpingwebmasters.com/website-r...12395;topicseenhttp://www.htmlforums.com/website-review/t...com-102225.html(I couldn't resist checking after your post )Concentrate - even though you have not received feedback as you may have on other forums there is always something to learn from posts. Imagine if Skemkin was a potential new member of your forums? What does he think visiting the site for the first time? Will he like it, or will he be detracted by the conventional appearance and lack of specifics? Also, remember on this site we are more into critiquing unique designs and custom web applications.
  5. Well, what were you expecting? What are we supposed to critique? The forum structure?
  6. Did I mention that my only gripe with Notepad is that it doesn't have auto-indentation? I hate it how you have to tab in multiple times every time you create a new line. GNOME's default text editor is much better (it even has syntax highlighting)
  7. That's a contradiction, isn't it?Anyway, one that I think will suit your preferences is NVU / KompoZer (not actually part of the KDE, don't know why they called it that).http://www.kompozer.net/
  8. The thing I hate about Notepad and Wordpad is they don't have automatic tabs - so if you are indented ten times on one line the next line will still begin entirely to the left margin.
  9. For a second language, that is good English!
  10. Ok I didn't know browsers could do half the things that were tested on SunSpider. 3D raytracing...???

    PERL Forum

I don't use Perl personally, but I think there would be no problem with a CGI category with a Perl forum. then the people who do use it can come to this board, contribute and also post in the other forums, and the rest of us could also learn something about technologies we wouldn't normally use. And there is always the minimize button for those who find it gets in their way...

    Where are you?

    Japan = Tropical???
  13. That guy has a new site (better IMO)http://www.vchris.net/
  14. Use a server side language (e.g. file_get_contents() in PHP). You could use that in conjunction with AJAX to call a page via JavaScript.
  15. XHTML is really just HTML made to follow the rules of XML, things like closing empty tags with /> (e.g. <br /> instead of <br>), and compulsory attributes (e.g. alt on <img /> tags).
  16. What "thing" did you have to click on? Due to anti-spam restrictions, users have to have their first 5(?) posts approved by a moderator.
  17. Hmm... without indenting I find blocks { } of code very hard to recognise... Highlighting helps me with debugging
  18. I like Dreamweaver's code completion and highlighting, but it loads sooo slowly... I use PSPad now, that loads quicker than Opera.
  19. Don't let Apple hear you say that!

    dropdown list

Yes, add a space between them $both.="<OPTION VALUE=\"Surname,Name\">".$Surname." ".$Name; By the way, you should close your option tags and have all tags in lowercase. $both.="<option value=\"Surname,Name\">$Surname $Name";</option> And don't be afraid to make your own threads.
  21. Um... there is a slight problem in the poll, as it skips straight from 750 kbps to 800 Mbps, and I doubt even the most advanced governments have 1.5 Gbps connections...
