  1. Hi all,problem is: my CSS drop-down menu won't display over a flash movie.It is stated as: "z-index: 1000;", but it won't help..I' ve checked a few sites: http://www.anekostudios.com/2006/08/03/son...fish-and-flash/http://www.communitymx.com/content/article...&print=trueand I tried changing the Publish Settings of my flash movie. It didn't work.I cannot change the related HTML because I'm working on a Content Management System (CMS), namely Typo3, which embeds flash like a "multimedia" option, ie I don't have access to the "embed" option...any ideas?

  3. about the circle:why don't you use a circle image? list-style: inside url('my_circle.gif');
  4. thanx croatiankid, but I can't find the bug anywhere....
  5. I have 2 columns of div-elements arranged by position: relative + float:left/right + clear: left/right (thanx S@m), IE6 won't let equal margin-left to the left & right column contents! (right one is shorter)All contents are inside <ul> lists...anybody know this bug??how "tricky" (yes, I am polite) can IE get ???!?
  6. dude, thanx!!I didn't know the clear property..It works fine!!
  7. I' m trying to position 8 classes in the form of a 4x2 table,with position:absolute, inside a container..If I use top/bottom, left/right % it works only in my current screen-resolution..what can I do??thanx, P.
  8. Hi everybody, here's the problem: I have a class (maincolumn) which includes a number of subclasses which are intended to be different windows.How can I set the subclasses (windows) to be "relatively floating" in the main class?How can I denote them to shrink or enlarge, so that they can always contain the same text in different resolutions?If I start arranging them with % it becomes ridiculous (using top:39%, height:27% for each window depending on its contentis ridiculous! right? ) and also ill-formed in different resolutions...any suggestions?any different approaches??thanx, the P.PS here's
  9. yes, (Synook) you are right about the "fixed" positioning, but to tell you the truth, I think "absolute" is the golden section of FF and IE... right?and thanx btw!
  10. You 've mentioned that before, but the only workaround IE's (6) "funny" layout was to get rid of all fixed positions and replace them with absolute.Is there some other way?I don't necessarily need absolute, but I had to use it!
  11. found these on a page: can somebody explain how ">" or "." (the "*"?) change the layout and what they mean?example : * html .content { ---}html>body { ---}html>body #top { ---}html>body .content { ---}
  12. yes! that's what drives me crazy!html, body and container are 100%so is the banner...I just don't get it...
