  1. I've looked on google but nothing has seemed to be the correct method. Any help?
  2. Sweet, the padding on the td worked, thanks guysI'm just trying to make a seamless image with a table so as you can imagine it's somewhat tricky to do.
  3. OK, now I've got another problem. When I put images in each cell that are 100x100(remembering that the cell is also 100x100 in size), the image makes like a 1px border of space around it. How do I fix that?
  4. <html><head><title>Contiguous Border check</title><style type="text/css">td {width:100px;height:100px;background-color:gainsboro;border:0px solid black;}</style></head><body><table border="0"><tr><td></td><td></td><td></td></tr><tr><td></td><td></td><td></td></tr></table></body></html> Basically, I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to get the cells to stick together without space in between them. Also, I need it to be a way that's compatible with Internet Explorer Anyway, thanks for any help you can give me!
  5. Yeah I'm getting a little frustrated because this seems like it would be so easy but it's not...
  6. It looks ok on your site, somehow it's not working on mine(there's a random white line on it and it's not exactly centered)... Anyway, I tweaked it a bit, and with the z-index at -1, the image becomes unusable as an image map. Any thoughts on that
  7. Yeah but I still need to use it as a image map, and if it's in the background that's not going to work.
  8. Hmm, I've been trying the same thing as you mentioned Spiffeh, but the problem is that the image is centered and therefore will not be in the same X/Y position on every screen resolution. I've tried percentages but can't seem to get that to work either, I guess I just need to reference some coordinates on the actual image where the content will be. Any Ideas on that?
  9. Sorry if this belongs in the CSS forum, but I'm sure there's more than one way to solve this.Here's the scenario:I've got a 800x600 image centered horizontally on a page. Near the middle of this image is a box about 400x400 I want to use to place text and content in. What's the easiest way to go about putting that container on top of this image?
  10. You know what, here's the whole script so far: <?php//These are variables, and this is a single-line comment$hello = "What's Up?";$hi = "My name is: ";$br = "<br>";$addition = 2+4;$answers = "correct";$subtraction = 6 - 2; /*This is a multi-line comment, and below this is all of my 'body' code*/echo $hello." ".$hi."Bobby Joe Jr.".$br;echo "Hello World!";echo $br."Escaping quotes \" is fairly \" easy".$br;echo "Perform Addition: 2 + 4 = ".$addition;echo $br;echo "text ". (6 - 2);echo $br;echo "HaHa, getting smarter are we? 4 * 6 = ". 4*6 .$br;echo " How have you made it this far? Last test: 8 / 2 = ". 8/2 .$br;echo "OK, maybe I lied. But still- Modulus, The Final Boss! 5 % 2 = ". 5%2 .$br;echo $br.$br;if ( $answers == "correct" ) { echo "I, I don't believe it... I feel the powers of light overtaking my soul already...".$br."Or, in other words, you beat the game, first PHP script ever!";}echo $br;echo "Perform subtraction: 6 - 2 = ".$subtraction."<br />"; ?> Ignore the weird text I put in there. I had to have some fun with it, you know...
  11. It worked, thanks. But...I didn't put parentheses around the numbers when I was doing addition, division, multiplication, and modulus though. Is "-" something special?
  12. I was writing my first PHP script today and I came across a problem when I was practicing with the subtraction operator.Right, so when I typed a line like this: echo 6 - 2; It displayed the result "4". Wonderful, right?but when I tried putting it in a string: echo "text ". 6 - 2; I got the result "-2". I'm not sure why it's not working, so any help would be welcome.
  13. Thanks, you kind of got the idea, but i wanted to keep the background image the same size. I figured it out though, I can't believe I didn't notice that I had that twice before though
