  1. I'm trying to work with SVG images for my site, but I'm having server issues so I'm going to try using inline SVG. The problem is, I've never worked with SVG before and I use an app called RealWorld Paint to make SVGs. It exports an SVG file that will render in the browser (but for some reason creates a 404 error on the server... I'm borrowing it so I'm not the one who needs to know how to fix it.) So what I need to do is figure out how to convert a SVG file into a HTML inline chunk. How do I do this? Do you want to see some SVG code I'm working with? Here's one. *attach* ...EDIT: The attachment didn't work. Uploading file contents instead. <?xml version="1.0"?><!DOCTYPE svg PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD SVG 1.0//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/2001/REC-SVG-20010904/DTD/svg10.dtd"><svg xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" width="99px" height="70px"><g><image width="99" height="70" xlink:href="data:image/png;base64,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" /></g><g><polygon points="1,2 19,1 34,15 30,18 18,6 2,7" fill="#ff7537" /><rect x="27.7257px" y="14.5472px" width="10.6279px" height="6px" transform="translate(33.0396,17.5472) rotate(-40) translate(-33.0396,-17.5472)" fill="#000000" /><path fill-rule="evenodd" fill="#f83a22" d="M 26 31 C 26 25.4771 42.4771 10 48 10 L 89 10 C 94.5229 10 99 14.4771 99 20 L 99 60 C 99 65.5229 94.5229 70 89 70 L 37 70 C 31.4771 70 27 65.5229 27 60 C 27 60 26 31 26 31 z" /><path fill-rule="evenodd" fill="#da2b00" d="M 61 40 L 35 19 L 64 38 L 96 14 L 67 40 L 95 67 L 64 42 L 30 67 C 30 67 61 40 61 40 z" /></g></svg>
  2. Thank you so much! 8D And yeah, next time I'll clean up my project a lot more. Sorry it was such a mess. If my code is like that, you can imagine what my room is like...
  3. Yeah, I figured that... But I know that I'm only going to have two CSS documents. The one is just the color theme, too, and I know exactly what the issue is, I just don't know how to solve it. The problem I'm stuck on is the part with the links colors. I need to have a way to have one color of links for the standard theme, and another color theme for the links on the navbar. I know how to use the "a:link" line, but I'm not sure how to make it work with both that and a class. Can I get help with that then?
  4. Well... It's not online but I can show you via Dropbox. *Link'd* Quick explanation of the weird layout, I want to make each subsite with a different color theme, so I'm making the colors in separate CSS pages. You want to look at index.html and color.css. And yeah, it's still under construction. Totally incomplete. The conflicts deal with the link colors. I want to edit the navbar at the top, so it's link colors are darker than the colors on the links showing up in the main article div (Labeled content) I know I'm still working on it I broke something for a test and forgot to fix something... but I'm fixing that part on my own. Please bear with me, I've got a long ways to go.
  5. I'm trying to build a website, and I'm having a little trouble with a couple style pieces, and I would like a little help. The problem is that I'm working with conflicting commands, and I need to be able to make one override the other based on the class, but it hasn't worked for me. So, the color theme I had in mind involves a Navigation bar at the top with a light background and a dark color, and the main text is light text on a dark background. Obviously, what link color I pick for the main text is going to be rather faint if I use it on the NavBar, but I don't know how to make a style that applies specifically to links under the Navbar class. Can I get a demonstration please? And would it be easier to do this inline or in the main CSS?
  6. Well......... might be talking to myself here as I didn't get any replies, but after playing around I found it works to move all the div's inside the Article div and change the body background... Case closed.
  7. I'm trying to make a site for senior project (A huge project in our school where we show skills we learn on our own), and I'll just come right out I have no idea what I'm doing. I'm surprised I have what I've got already. I'm trying to make a CSS document that makes it look like this image I'm about to attach, but so far, the CSS doc I've got looks nasty. Utterly colorless, and when I try adding color to the sides it just doesn't work. See attached image to see what I'm looking for. I'm not sure how to make this work however. And I've got 3 or 4 versions and methods I've attempted, and failed miserably at each. Here's my best one. Can I get some help? (And don't worry about logo placement, I'll fix that on my own after I get the rest figured out) CUE WALL OF CODE! @import url(http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Philosopher);@font-face{font-family: rex;src: url(Fonts/rex.otf)} body{color: #FFFFFF;background-color: #7BD148;font-family: "philosopher", "Palatino Linotype", "Book Antiqua", Palatino, serif;text-indent: 25px;}.NavBar{color: #FFFFFF;background-color:#000000;font-family: "rex", "Arial Black", Gadget, sans-serif;text-indent: 25px;padding: 0;display: inline;text-align: center;width: 100%;float: left;margin: 0;list-style: none;background-color: #000000;border-bottom: 2px solid #d9d9d9;border-top: 2px solid #FFFFFF;}h1{text-align: center;font-weight: bold;font-size: 250%;font-family: "rex", "Arial Black", Gadget, sans-serif;}.article{-webkit-column-count:3; /* Chrome, Safari, Opera */-moz-column-count:3; /* Firefox */column-count:3;-webkit-column-gap:40px; /* Chrome, Safari, Opera */-moz-column-gap:40px; /* Firefox */column-gap:40px;-webkit-column-rule:4px outset #7BD148; /* Chrome, Safari, Opera */-moz-column-rule:4px outset #7BD148; /* Firefox */column-rule:4px outset #7BD148;background-color: #000000;margin-left:25px; margin-right:25px; }.stronger {font-weight: bold;}.tab{display: block;padding: 8px 15px;text-align: center;display: inline;border-right: 1px solid #000000;border-left: 1px solid #000000;}a:link {text-decoration:none;color:#00ADDC;} /* unvisited link */a:visited {text-decoration: none;color: #A47AE2;} /* visited link */a:hover {text-decoration: underline;color: #7BD148;} /* mouse over link */a:active {text-decoration: underline;color: #FF7436} /* selected link */ <!DOCTYPE html><html lang="en"> <head> <title>Template HTML page. </title> <meta content="text/html; charset=windows-1252" http-equiv="content-type"> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="style/theme.css"> </head> <body> <div class="NavBar"> <ul class="NavBar"> <li class="tab"><a href="index.html"> Home </a></li> <li class="tab"><a href="challenges"> Challenges </a></li> <li class="tab"><a href="impact"> Impact </a></li> <li class="tab"><a href="powersources"> Power Sources </a></li> <li class="tab"><a href="action"> Action </a></li> </ul> </div> <div class="headline"> <h1> <p><img src="graphics/construction.png" width="728" height="90" alt="This site is under construction..."></p> <p><img src="graphics/banners/logo.png" alt="Energized."></p> <p> </p> <p>Template for Energized.</p> </h1> </div> <div class="article"> <p> Nearly everyone is concerned about how much fuel we use, either in the form of how much we spend on fuel or about global warming.
