Hi all, and thanks for stopping by!
OK, so this is the deal:
I'm not very good at styling and configuring proper alignments when it comes to CSS (e.g. padding, margin, border).
As you've probably guessed, I'm a novice when it comes to web-design.
I took an intro to multimedia course this past fall and I was literally just teaching myself at that point.
Didn't work out apparently...
So, I've designed a basic outline and structure for my soon-to-be website.
I plan to eventually incorporate a commenting system, a forum system, and some other things, but it'll ultimately be a place where I post certain news topics, articles, and etc.
For now however, I'd like to be able to get my over-all design to work, so I've uploaded an attached my HTML and CSS files in this post.
What I've outlined in my code is meant to show a basic home page, with a header at top, a navigation bar underneath, and finally the actual content.
What I have in mind is having some kind of infinity-scroll kind of scheme that resembles what you find on StumbleUpon or Reddit.
In any case, an issue I haven't been able to resolve is the positioning of the content. If you take notice, the table I've created in the "class='content'" division is inline with my #navbar, which is incorrect and cannot be seen unless you scroll all the way to the right.
Based on the code that I've written, I would have assumed that all it needed was some style tweaking, but alas, to no avail.
So, if anyone could please assist me in my problem, I'd be extremely grateful.
You do not have to create the code again for me or help me on some long-term scale in terms of functionality, but if you could please point out where I'm wrong and list any improvements or suggestions, that would be great!
Again, list as much as you can.
Any suggestions or corrections would be grand!
Thanks guys!
Sincerely,
- Bryan
