The Brink

Hi, I've followed instructions here to float three boxes in a container on a static page of my wordpress website and they look great. Only thing is I would like them to be responsive as the rest of my site is too. I assume that I'll need to use some other language than CSS (perhaps PHP?) but I'm not really familiar with that though I'm keen to learn. Could someone point me towards a solution? Thanks TB
