    All done! Thank you!

Hi, I am doing a project and want to include text which when you hover over the word, a small image or small box with text appears giving more information. But I don't know what it's called? I have taken this bit from wiki as an example. Although these links just suggest clickable links. But I have seen the underlined in wiki show a little box of text or small image. I hope you know what I mean? I would so appreciate your help! Thank you, Jayne🤠 Thank you for your help. After some research, pleased to say I did it! When I get a chance I will post it here! Thanks w3schools!!😃
  2. Thank you Ingolme. No it doesn't! I just thought it looked really nice.😃
  3. Thank you Melahi 🤠

  5. I have been dabbling for some time and still consider myself a newbie. If I can lend a hand in any way I will. But I would suggest taking Niche's advice and just get on with it. I would also suggest starting simple and build on that. At the moment, I am doing a Tribute page project which is part of the curriculum on Free Code Camp. But if you want my advice, in terms of learning to code and build websites, w3schools is number 1 for learning. Others are ok, but you will always find yourself coming back here. The tutorials here are clearer and concise and much better to understand. Just using w3schools will increase your working knowledge and understanding of coding. Good luck! Jayne🤠

    Images and folders

Thank you. I managed to get it to work. Yes, I am using Notepad. Someone else suggested wamp, but I am not sure. I have visual code studio. Is wamp good? Perhaps I should consider it? Jayne
  9. I am going mad! I use the correct tags to display an image from a folder on my laptop to a webpage: <img src=""> Nothing appears! So I read, read and reread and practise on web editors - sometimes it works ... sometimes not!! Any one shed light, please? Jayne 🙃
  10. ... and what it is all about and when to use it. I like it ...😃 Sorry for my excitement, but I decided to bite the bullet and start building a website. More for practise at this stage. So I decided to look at CSS Responsive Web Design ... I liked that it uses HTML and CSS ... a good starting point🤔 Anyway just thought I would share my excitement!😜🤠
  11. Thank you again! You're help is much appreciated ☺️ Jayne 🤠
  12. Thank you again. Inspiring words. Appreciated.🤠 Jayne
  13. Thank you Niche, At the moment, I use my android tablet, but I am looking to get a new laptop this week. But I just found the CSS Templates - CSS Layout Templates, under the CSS section, so I may start there. There's just so much that I don't really know where to start sometimes! That's good! Thanks for helping. Btw, is that what you mean when you say just start creating? Do you have a portfolio? Jayne 🤠
  14. Hi everyone!😃 I have done the html, css and doing the JavaScript tutorial. I want to start consolidating my basic knowledge by developing websites. But where do I start? I want to build a portfolio. But I can't seem to move forward! To start the web building, should I follow the section headed 'Web Building?' Thanks, Jayne🤠
  15. Hi Monroe,😃 It's a great place and I have learned so much already. I am about to use one of the templates to start my journey! Best of luck! Jayne 🤠
  16. Hello Steve, 😃 Nice to meet you! Jayne🤠
  17. Hello, 😃 I joined a while back, but instead of concentrating on w3schools tutorials, I went onto Sololearn. I learnt about HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, but not enough to understand their applications to any great degree. Then, the best thing happened, I reconnected with w3schools and haven't looked back! It's clearer to understand, the content is not overloaded and the chapters are titled to inform you of its content. I understand things better now, whereas I struggled with Sololearn. My plan now: Revise through a whistle-stop tour of: HTML; √ CSS; √ JavaScript (in progress) Then to consolidate my learning by studying in-depth: HTML; CSS; JavaScript. Use w3schools templates: Make a simple one page HTML website (starting); Get certified! Attempt the other courses!😜 I am going to leave it there and review at intervals. Perhaps, I may set myself up one day!?🤠😐 Thank you so much w3schools for the great opportunity! Jayne 🤠
