I'm having trouble centering text vertically in a div. It always seems to be pushed down. I used "w3-display-middle" which is close but not perfectly centered.

I used the w3-padding-large tag to add a text background color and got good results except that there seems to be extra space on top by about 10px. Any ideas on getting this to be even on all sides?

I am only able to use the basic W3 css colors. Does anyone know why the libraries such as vivid don't work? I placed the link rel="stylesheet" href="../lib/w3-colors-vivid.css" at the top with other links and the color w3-vivid-reddish-purple in my div but it goes transparent. Basics such as w3-purple work.
