  1. Nevermind, I figured that out, but how can I edit this code so the tab doesn't jump over on each click?
  2. So I am using Prototype/Scriptaculous to have a tab sort of navigaation on my site (I know the whole SEO issue here) and am having a little trouble. Go to http://www.hikerslair.com/um/dev/broken/See the tree? Well click the links in this order:Florida -> Alachua -> GainesvilleAlright, its nice and expanded. Now with it expanded, hit F5 to refresh the page. Some of it should still be expanded. Now up at the top, try hitting Collapse all. Doesn't work. Try expand all, it collapses. It does that when the URL is http://www.hikerslair.com/um/dev/broken/# . Try going back to http://www.hikerslair.com/um/dev/broken/ and test out the collapse and expand by itself. it works like that. I can't for the life of me figure out why it is reversi

Hey guys, long time no see. I've been busy at Devshed for a while now. Good to be back..I know there is currently a meta tag to have IE8 emulate IE7. However, I was looking for something of the opposite. Is there a meta tag, or some sort of trick to make IE6 emulate a modern browser, such as IE7, Opera, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, or something? As far as I know there isn't but hopefully some new minds can help meThanks.
  16. Hi Scorpion :)You should not use Ajax for the sake of saying you have Ajax on your site. You can just as easily use regular JavaScript to achieve this same effect. I am curious why you posted this in the CSS forum as CSS is just used for positioning and styling elements. HTML would have been a more appropriate starting forum for this thread.
  17. Remove language=javascript. It is not the standard, nor does it do anything. Also add a doctype first. In my opinion, JavaScript and valid html go hand in hand.
  18. Im cracking out code for that virus right away!
  19. If microsoft didn't make it so damn hard to get more then 1 version of a IE on their system then I would at least look at how it looks but its not like an average user looks at the same site in different browser and goes, "hey, theres a double float margin bug right there, someone should fix that!!!"..
  20. Just because people use IE6 doesn't mean that you should spend hours of your time making it so they have the same browsing experience. Who cares if stuff is a little out of place by a few pixels yada yada yada. Chances are they won't notice because if they actually coded at all then they would know not to use IE at all and an average user wouldn't even notice the subtle errors.
  21. Using a <br /> to create white space between elements is a very bad practice. If you need space, you can either use margin or insert another div. <br />'s only should be used for creating line breaks in text. Read more here
  22. Well can you show the code you attempted? I would try using display:inline on the divs then use margin to space them out. Make sure your code is valid also.
