  5. Hi there! When I put a background on a table cell it doesn't show up in Firefox. Is there a way to have it show up?
  6. Okay, here is a like to the site I am working on: My WebpageThe backgroud colors / borders of the table don't show up at all in Firefox!!!????? I cannot for the life of me understand why some of you prefer it to Internet Explorer. At least things show up as I ask them to in IE...Any ideas how to fix this? XO
  7. Thank you for the props. I've worked hard on the little I have. Perhaps I'll just get a freelancer to do this part unless anyone knows of a similar problem/solution. I've checked out the flash slideshow and it is unfortunately not what I'm looking for & I know even less about flash.. all in time... XO
  8. Thank you. I will try it and hopefully no more questions... XOXO for your attention & advice
  9. Thank you for that. I've seen that but didn't know what it was for. I will try it.XO
  10. I'm a beginner, too.. but I created a simple forum using this resource and remember thinking how easy it was:PHP BB
  11. Ok, one more question...I have a navigation unit in the lefthand column and in some browsers it adjusts the width just slightly enough for a horizontal scrollbar to show up. Is it possible to fix the width so the scrollbar doesn't ever appear and still have it scroll vertically?XO
  12. Hi there,I made an automated slideshow with Photoshop. It shows up okay when I link directly to the slideshow: Slideshow...although it shows at the bottom there is an error on the page...And the thumbnails don't even click when I put it into the frames for the site: Frames PageI know it is sorta disrespectful to post without actually digging into the work.. but I don't have time to learn java script for this client. There are too many other things to learn so I hope you will understand my question is with all due respect for your hard earned knowledge. My aunt used the automated slideshow in her frames so I don't know what the heck is wrong... Is there possibly a simple solution to this problem.. ???
  13. Hello again,Finally got the buttons to work good... took only about 2 full days of trial and error. Now I have a problem with them in Netscape and Firefox. The buttons (which are a table within a table) are showing up lowered by about 20px. Any ideas? Here is the link: My Webpage
  14. I have spent hours looking.. but I can't find any that are simple enough & with a basic transparent screen/slide show. I even downloaded TrendyFlash, Swish, and a few other private party software.. but I am just under the gun and don't have time to plod through "Self Help" books on this one...So I guess I am wondering if there is a site that has a Flash job posting board or such.. I thought I had found one months ago, but can't find it in my favorites.Anyways,I appreciate your input always.
  15. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR QUICK RESPONSE!!!I think I can get that. This is my first time using CSS & layers. I am so grateful for these forums.. I have put myself through school just from reading stuff on them.Much thanx!
