  1. thanks - but it's still having the same problem, here's my new code: #navlist { float: left; height: 19px; display: inline; padding: 2px 0 0 0; margin: 0; border-bottom: 1px solid gray; width: 100%; } #navlist ul { margin: 0; padding: 0; border-bottom: 0; line-height: 20px; white-space: nowrap; } #navlist li { margin: 0; display: inline; list-style: none; padding: 0 10px 0 10px; text-align: center; width: 50% } ...using padding instead of margin, but it's still ignoring the 10px right padding, any ideas?
  2. Hi,I have an inline nav which displays ok on all browsers on mac, but not on IE6 on a PC.IE6 on the pc doesn't seem to recognise the margin-right in the css and renders it as 0px even though it's supposed to be 10px.My Doc type is: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">The relevant css is: #navlist{float: left;height: 19px;display: inline;padding: 0;margin: 2px 0 0 0;border-bottom: 1px solid gray;width: 100%;}#navlist ul{margin: 0;padding: 0;border-bottom: 0;line-height: 20px;white-space: nowrap;}#navlist li{margin: 0 10px 0 10px;display: inline;list-style: none;padding: 0;text-align: center;width: 50%} and the html: <div id="navlist"> <span class="rollover"> <ul> <li><a href="index.html"><span class="highlight">home </span></a></li>| <li><a href="experience.html">experience </a></li>| <li><a href="services.html">services </a></li>| <li><a href="portfolio.html">portfolio </a></li>| <li><a href="contact.html">contact </a></li>| </ul> </span> </div> I'm new to all this so please advise if you need any other info etc. The website in question is:www.greyham.co.ukthanks
