  1. Hi, guys! I've lately been spending so much time coding picture gallery pages with the img code, I haven't been able to work on anything else html-wise...so I'm getting a bit burnt out.I was wondering any recommendations for some good server-side/self-hosted gallery software, where I can just log in, and upload images? Here's somethings I'm looking for in a gallery: Album foldersSelf-resizing imgs An editable layout, so I can match the rest of my site. I also have Wordpress, but it's on another subdomain, and I prefer to keep the blog and the gallery on seperate sub-domains. So, any suggesti
  2. Ahh, I see. So, the extra ".." will account for how deep the file is, and just add for how deep it goes? appreciate it.
  3. Hi guys! I'm still trying to think of how I want to phrase my question, so please bare with me. Also mods, if this is better posted in the PHP section, please move. I've made a shared folder for my site, containing the common/shared aspects of the site, located in Root. Menu, advertisement codes, added to the page by with <?php include ('..shared/menu/menu.php');?> for example. It works on the main page of my site, and the top of the sub-domain. but if I try an include on a page that's located like: sub-domainfolder/folder/.html, or subdomainfolder/folder/folder/.html I get this. Warni
  4. Ahh, thanks. I guess in the meantime I'll still with my current photo pages and have them open in a new window.
  5. Hi guys.I'm wondering about the Target Attribute. On the site, it says it specifies where to open a document. Does that even include Divs? So, if I had a little gallery set up, where it was a list of images on one side, and an open div to the next. Could I use the target attribute to display the clicked on images in that open div? If not, what would you recommend reading into next to figure that aspect out? Thanks!
  6. Oh! Thanks. I would of never thought of it being the #menu div. I've thought it was the form the entire time.
  7. 1and1 says it supports PHP 5 on Linux servers, but I can't remember if I went with a Linux server or a Windows one. I'll have to email them to check. Would this be the cause of the two input fields not working, as well? Thanks!
  8. Hi, guys. I'm working with http://www.w3schools.com/PHP/php_filter.asp to get started on writing an email php / contact form page. Here's my basic form, for now. (I plan on doing a nicer looking one in the future, but for now..I'm ready to move onto other sections of the site.) http://scratch.taaron.org/contact/As I said in the topic, I'm running into two problems. The Email and Subject input boxes can't be written in, and when I click send I get an error saying "Fatal error: Call to undefined function: filter_var() in /homepages/33/d247484126/htdocs/scratchpad/contact/mail.php on line 4"Any
  9. Thanks, guys. I remembered I zipped up a previous build of my site and reverted back to a previous file, and got the drop down to work again. I'll try recreating this until I come across the mistake again. I'll have to do some more studying to get a better idea of how to work with php properly, too.
  10. Thanks. As for saving it to php, I was having problems focusing on huge sections of code, so somebody suggested I write them seperately as .php files, and then use the include command to get them to display. I recalled seeing a few websites displaying their pages as .php before, so I guess it made sense to me. :)I suppose I should return to the text links, instead of the image links, as the drop down WAS working before I added the images..
  11. Oh, I see. Sorry. <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"><html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><head><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /><title>Menu</title></head> <ul> <div id = "taaron.button" > <li><a href = "http://www.taaron.org"> <img src="shared/menu/taaron.png" alt="Taaron.org"/> <ul> <li><a href = "http://www.taaron.org/contact/">Contact</a></li>
  12. Hi, here's a section of my code. It's pretty much the same for each div. <div id = "menu"> <?php include ('shared/menu/menu.php');?> </div>
  13. Thanks. I wonder if that might be caused from using <?php include... ? So, it'd be safe to remove the header and body tags off the php files?
  14. Hi guys. I've decided to switch my menu links from text into images by using the img src links. I've got all my imgs linked, and displayed, but when the options no longer drop down, with an exception of the first one. I'm unsure what I've done wrong. Not to mention, the imgs are being cut off by the CSS width. Any idea where I've goofed, and how to fix? http://scratch.taaron.org/Btw, I'm also interested in making the update boxes(which will show the most recent updates) clickable to where they'll expand into the big open white space, showing a back log of updates. which section should I look i
  15. Thanks, guys. I'll read up on the sites recommended and get things fixed up.
