  1. Hello everybody! I have a question that have been bugging me for a long time. I am a bit new to the webdesign world. In the beginning I did all my webdesign using Frames. That way making the menu to be fixed in the exact same location, is easy. The same goes for a no frame layout, when the menu is on it's own table row. But when I try to create a menu that is to the left of other content, I have a problem making the menu be fixed height vise. What I mean is that the menu words are jumping up and down on different pages of the site. You can see what I mean when you click on: Click around to see the difference! . Try clicking the top menu word, and see how the other words are moving down slightly. I do not understand why it is not working. I created another site, and had similar problems. That time I solved it by inserting many new paragraphs on the bottom of the page to try to push the meny up to stay in the same position. The link to that page is: Click only the submenu! . You should only click on the submenu with the Around Cape Horn content. The menu that is too the left of the text and have small green circles beside it. How can I make my menus be fixated to the EXACT same location, using tables? Is there a CSS way? Any help is highly appreciated! Have a great day! All the best to all of you! Warm greetings from Mattias!
  2. Thank you for your fast reply johneva. My question is if it looks good even with a bigger screen and a different resolution. I will make a test later today. Is there no other way to do it? Like CSS?Friendly greetings from Mattias!
  3. Hello everyone!I am new to this forum, and quite new to the world of webdesign. I have one "customer" who wants the web page I create for him, to look a certain way. The adress to that page is: OscarartThe problem I have is that he wants the content of the page to be fixed. So when you change the size of your browser window, the content will not be compressed to fit the smaller window size. An example of a page that is the way he wants it is: DN . On that page the content is not compressed. A friend of mine suggested that I should set my table width to a pixel size rather than a %-size. And that does the trick, as you can see on the one page I tried that on. It is the startpage of the english version of the webpage: English Oscarart But my question is, if it is possible to do that some other way. My worry is that when some one look at that site, but have a different screen size or different resolution, the layout will not look as it is intended. I hope this question makes sense. I just hope I can find some answers how to make the content fixed and non resizable, using CSS or something similar. I thank you in advance, and hope you have a great day! Friendly greetings from Mattias!
