    Vertical Alignment

id agree. it really depends on the situation what you can do, at least until they get the vertical align property working.

    Vertical Alignment

The inner div (containing the text) would not be 100% of the window, it would be 100% of the outer div. If the outer div is the outer most div then that one would be 100%, therefore you would get within a couple pixels of 100%. Though, in reality I think you could have them both 100% without borders and they both should end up being 100% of the window. If my ramblings don't make any sense let me know and I'll try to explain them differently.

i gotta agree with you there. space is just awesome.
  6. Thats true. The thing about me not using it for web design I must disagree with because when I'm at work and I have spare time, that's what I do is surf sites like this and deviantart or other such sites so that I can get better, so that I wouldn't be worried about, but you are right the ability is still there.Alright, you know, just that little bit made me think. You really are right, it wouldn't be worth it because I have many opportunities to use T1 at work and plus college... Thanks for showing me how dumb that would be
  7. All I can get at home is dial up or satellite. the problem with satellite is it's expensive and it would seem, possibly unreliable due to clouds etc.I was wondering, would it really be worth getting satellite or should I just keep dial up. Mind you I am trying to become a web designer (going to college and doing things on my own) so that bears down on my decision a great deal as it is.'Well then, that's a rather easy answer,' you might think, but I just want to know if it would really be worth it.Oh, how would it be for hosting?

yeah, try explaining that to my mom....cause uh, it didnt work when i tried :)i had offered to give them my computer so that i could have the dual core because im always working with like ten programs at a time, plus i would have more ram etc.. but that didnt work.i got AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Venice 2.0GHz 512KB L2 Cache Socket 939 ProcessorMSI RD480 Neo2-FI Socket 939 ATI Radeon XPRESS 200 CrossFire ATX AMD Motherboard Im pretty sure thats the one512MB ram (720MB auto-overclocked)160gb hard driveso that would be good for them and be able to run autoCAD if they wanted, need more ram prolly but either way.i have a 19" crt but told them the could keep the lcd for themselves....so i thought they would be happy...id be happy theyd be happy....meh idk

    Net Zero

Well, let's see now, my parents computer is the one it would be running on. they have an AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ dual-core - 2.0GHz processor

    Net Zero

i thought of that after i added the reply so it seems like it could be possible then...hmm

    Net Zero

according to net zero, their high speed dialup compresses the stuff first then sends it so my computer would recieve it faster, but it seems to me that the downtime would come in uncompressing it.....i dont know much about isp's or how that stuff works...

    Net Zero

i know about the numbers etc. i was wondering about the quality. thanks for suggesting to look for availablity though.

    Net Zero

Does anyone or has anyone used or know someone who used/uses Net Zero internet?I want to know if it's any good...I'm sick of aol...unfortunately all i can get is dial up so... yeah
  24. This poll doesn't really show the true percentage of people using certain resolutions because this forum is for coders and designers meaning they probably won't use the same size resolutions as a 'civilian' would.Just thought I'd throw that out there.
