  1. the reason why im looking vendor specific is to include them all in the css along with the standard... one example is with opacity. Opacity is available in browsers and in IE9... IE 8 and before use filter. So a way i found to make it in all browsers is to put this in css opacity: 0.5; filter: alpha(opacity=50); /* Internet Explorer 8 and before */So if i put -o-, -moz-, -ie-, -webkit- and standard tags it should work on all those browsers i think. Tell me if im wrong but if i doselector { standard: value; -o-property: value; -moz-property: value; -ie-property: value; -webkit-property: value;}that property should work in major browsers? I wanted to test this.
  2. Hi, Im having some troubles with my pages when displayed in some browsers and i want to know what would be the best way to make pages that are compatible to all browsers using CSS?Also im looking for browser specific css tags list for at least major browsers (Firefox, IE, Chrome, Safari and Opera)... example -moz-border-radius-... and others like that. There should be a website somewhere that lists them all.thanks
  3. Yes it was JQuery problem. I moved my code from $(Document).ready to $(window).load and everything is fine now. I was having a javascript function that centers that div and it was not called when doing a refresh.
  4. it's not online, i test it in local for now. Im using Jquery... and while im writing this i noticed that it might be a JQuery issue.
  5. Hi,I'm experiencing a strange thing in Google chrome and Safari. When the page is loaded one div has his left property's value to 0 while it's supposed to be a 326px. When i go in the url bar and press enter the left value is suddenly set to 326px. Then if i press on refresh it then returns to 0px... and so onThis makes the div moving in the screen and this only happen with webkit... any idea on how to solve this?thanks
  6. the php file name in comment is a string i forgot to delete its not the name of the php file... the name of the php file is upload.php and is launched in form action. But thanks i will try this.
  7. Hi,On the following php script i want to return status message to tell to the page that launched it if an error occurred or not. I tried with cookies to store the variable but i always get "null" returned. <?php //Page: set_cookie.php //$_SERVER['HTTP_HOST'] = 'http://www.example.com'; // localhost create problem on IE so this line $myDomain = ereg_replace('^[^\.]*\.([^\.]*)\.(.*)$', '\1.\2', $_SERVER['HTTP_HOST']); $setDomain = ($_SERVER['HTTP_HOST']) != "localhost" ? ".$myDomain" : false; echo "<script>alert('SetDomain = " . $setDomain . "')</script>"; // uploading files if (($_FILES["file"]["type"] == "image/gif") || ($_FILES["file"]["type"] == "image/jpeg") || ($_FILES["file"]["type"] == "image/pjpeg")){ if ($_FILES["file"]["error"] > 0){ $msg = "Une erreur est survenue!\nReturn Code: " . $_FILES["file"]["error"]; echo "<script>alert('" . $msg . "')</script>"; setcookie ("OutilDesingMsg", 'ERROR: '. $_FILES["file"]["error"], time()+60, '/', "$setDomain", 0 ); } else { if (file_exists("img/maisons/" . $_FILES["file"]["name"])) { } else { move_uploaded_file($_FILES["file"]["tmp_name"], "img/maisons/" . $_FILES["file"]["name"]); } setcookie ("OutilDesingMsg", 'OK', time()+60, '/', "$setDomain", 0 ); } } else { setcookie ("OutilDesingMsg", 'INVALID', time()+60, '/', "$setDomain", 0 ); echo "<script>alert('Invalid file')</script>"; } ?> here is the form that lauch the script <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"><html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1" /> <script type="text/javascript" src="scripts/jquery.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="scripts/jquery.outildesign.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="scripts/jquery.form.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> var browser = navigator.appName; // Firefox = "Netscape", IE = "Microsoft Internet Explorer" function parseFilePath(strPath) { return strPath.replace(/^.*\\/, '') } $(document).ready(function() { $("#form-img-upload").ajaxForm(function() { var filename = $("#file").attr("value"); if (browser == "Microsoft Internet Explorer") { filename = parseFilePath(filename); } var message = $(this).outildesign('fn_read_cookie', 'OutilDesingMsg')// HERE THE MESSAGE RETURNED FROM COOKIE IS NULL THATS MY PROBLEM :( if (message == 'OK') { window.location = "desing.html?img_fond="+filename; } }); }); </script> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="screen" href="css/custom.css" /> </head> <body> <div id="page-div" class="page-div"> <div id="img-chooser-div" class="centered"> <form id="form-img-upload" name="form-img-upload" action="upload.php" method="post" enctype="multipart/form-data"> <input value="img/maisons/*.*" size="95" type="file" name="file" id="file" /> <br /> <img class="skypebutton_soummettre_img" src="img/ClearGreenButton.png" /> <input type="submit" name="soummettre" value="Continuer" class="skypebutton_soummettre" /> </form> </div> </div> </body></html> here is my jQuery plugin with the function that reads the cookie (function( $ ){ /* * Methods Declaration. */ var methods = { init : function( options ) { // THIS }, fn_read_cookie : function(name) { var cookiename = name + "="; var ca = document.cookie.split(';'); for(var i=0; i < ca.length; i++) { var c = ca[i]; while (c.charAt(0)==' ') c = c.substring(1,c.length); if (c.indexOf(cookiename) == 0) return c.substring(cookiename.length,c.length); } return null; } }; $.fn.outildesign = function( method ) { // Method calling logic if ( methods[method] ) { return methods[ method ].apply( this, Array.prototype.slice.call( arguments, 1 )); } else if ( typeof method === 'object' || ! method ) { return methods.init.apply( this, arguments ); } else { $.error( "Methode " + method + " n'existe pas dans jQuery.outildesign" ); } }; })( jQuery ); That's the first time i play with cookies and i must be doing something wrong because i always get null as return value from $(this).outildesign('fn_read_cookie', 'OutilDesingMsg')... see IN $(document).ready.
  8. think about it as if it was HTML with some javascript. The solution you posted works in php i guess
  9. The actual page where the form is, and also the one i want to stay in, is made in html/jquery.
  10. Hi,I have the following form that on submit launch a php script to upload files. <form id="form-img-upload" name="form-img-upload" action="upload.php" method="post" enctype="multipart/form-data"> <input value="img/uploads/*.*" size="95" type="file" name="file" id="file" /> <br /> <img class="skypebutton_submit_img" src="img/ClearGreenButton.png" /> <input type="submit" name="submit" value="Continue" class="skypebutton_submit" /></form> but the problem is that i need to stay on the actual page and the actual code i have send me to upload.php... witch is a script that displays nothing it just upload a file to the server. Is there a way to run upload.php and stay on actual page?thanks
  11. No they should not overlap... i just want them to stay the size they are and i most of all want them to stay in place when resizing. One div at left and the other at right.This is possible take a look at this example of the galleriffic jQuery plugin. http://www.twospy.com/galleriffic/example-2.html
  12. Here i put two pictures illustrating my problem:When the browser is maximised... (everything is fine)When the browser is resized smaller the <div> A (thumbs in previous example) goes down like this
