1. Still no good Maybe I should contact those who upkeep my server. Well I think I can manage anyways. Thanks for your help, Err.
2. The validator still doesn't work but the site is now 10 x faster. Thanks for help! edit: Validator probably works. My site doesn't
3. Thanks for the reply. I've tried but the validator tells me that A fatal error occurred when attempting to decode response body from http://www.korukivi.fi/. Either we do not support the content encoding specified ("none"), or an error occurred while decoding it. The error was: Don't know how to decode Content-Encoding 'none' What a mess
4. I removed some margins which seemed to be conflicting with each other. Now it looks pretty much how I would like it to look but now I can't click the links anymore. Whats up with that?
5. Hi, I know that this might be a quite common question but I haven't found a solution for my site so maybe you guys can help me out. I am not very experienced with this CSS stuff and I haven't been able to come up with a solution. My navigation bar works fine with other browsers but not firefox. You can find a live view of the site at: http://www.korukivi.fi/?page_id=375 Thanks for any help!
6. I don't get it. Are you saying that these divisions are tangled?
7. Hellos! What I want to accomplish, is to keep my footer on the bottom of the page, regardless of the screen or window size. I know that this is a quite common problem, and I could find a lot of solutions for this, but alas none worked for me. I tried plenty. So I figured you guys could provide some advice. Apologies for messy code. The footer is named 'site-generator'. A live view of my page: http://www.korukivi.fi/
8. Thank you! This made my day.
9. Uh, I've really no idea how to do this. I added the following above the header: <div id="chain" role="banner"> <a href="url(page/wp-content/chain.png)"></div> This didn't work
10. Thanks. Could you provide some instructions or a link to instructions which would guide me through the process of creating a new element.
11. Hellos! I'm having a problem with a border: What I want to do, is to create a line between my site title and my header image. It would be a bottom border for the title. I want to use an image instead of the normal lines, that you normally use. The image is a sort of a chain which I want to span through whole page. What I've tried out so far is:border-bottom: url("/mywebsite/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/chain.png") no-repeat scroll 0 0 transparent
12. Hellos! I'm a student from Finland! I study social and computer sciences at the Helsinki University. I've started a small business with a friend of mine. We have been improvising web sites for almost two years now, and so far I have quite succesfully avoided taking part to the technical aspects of web pages. Now the situation has changes and I've tried to make myself familiar with CSS and PHP. Luckily I know how to program with JAVA so I understand how computer programs basically work. I hope to find (and hopefully some day give) advice!
